Indian companies to pay $2 bln to Rosneft
The amount of the deal between Rosneft and ONGC Videsh, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Oil India and Bharat Petroleum on the sale of stakes in the Vankor deposit and Taas-Yuryakha will make up a bit less than $2 bln, The Economic Times reports.
Today the head of Rosneft comes to Deli to signed the agreement.
The stake of IOC, Oil India и Bharat PetroResources in Taas-Yuryakha will be up to 30%, ONGC wil increase its stake in Vankor from 15% to 26%.
In the autumn 2015 ONGC signed an agreement on the purchase of 15% in Vankorneft with Rosneft. The amount of the deal was assessed at $1.26 bln.
Rosneft might sell 49.9% in Vankor to the Indian companies. Besides a 26% stake which ONGC will receive, 23.9% is planned to be equally shared by IOC, Oil India and Bharat PetroResources.
