Indian companies to pay $2 bln to Rosneft

​The amount of the deal between Rosneft and ONGC Videsh, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Oil India and Bharat Petroleum on the sale of stakes in the Vankor deposit and Taas-Yuryakha will make up a bit less than $2 bln, The Economic Times  reports.

Today the head of Rosneft comes to Deli to signed the agreement.

The stake of IOC, Oil India и Bharat PetroResources in Taas-Yuryakha will be up to 30%, ONGC wil increase its stake in Vankor from 15% to 26%.

In the autumn 2015 ONGC signed an agreement on the purchase of 15% in Vankorneft with Rosneft. The amount of the deal was assessed at $1.26 bln.

Rosneft might sell 49.9% in Vankor to the Indian companies. Besides a 26% stake which ONGC will receive, 23.9% is planned to be equally shared by IOC, Oil India and Bharat PetroResources.
