In January-February, production of polyvinyl chloride in Russia fell by 2%

In the first two months of this year, the total production of unmixed polyvinyl chloride in Russia decreased by 2% compared to the same period of 2015 and amounted to 139.1 thousand tons. The decrease in the production volumes was largely caused by the unscheduled stop of Sayanskkhimplast, Market Report informs.

Last month, the final rate of the unmixed polyvinyl chloride in Russia amounted to 67.3 thousand tons as compared to 71.7 thousand tons in January. In general, in January - February 2016, the total volume of polyvinyl chloride declined to 139.1 thousand tons against 142.3 thousand tons in the previous year. The main reason for the decline in the output was the unplanned stop of Sayanskkhimplast operation in mid-February. Also, the decrease in the capacity loading was shown by Bashkir soda company.
