Russia couldn’t convince Tehran to join agreement on production freezing
The Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak hasn’t managed to convince the Iranian counterpart to join the agreement to freeze the oil production. But it can operate without Iran, Novak is sure.
Iran can increase the oil production in the framework of agreements of the largest producers, aimed at stabilizing the market, said Novak after the talks with the Iranian Oil Minister Namdar Zanganeh Bijanov in Tehran.
"Major oil producers need to be coordinated with each other. However, as Iran reduced the production during the sanctions, we fully understand the desire of Iran to increase the production and to recover its share of the global market," - said the Russian Minister.
