Vitkovice Steel bought the structures close to the ISD.
As the "the Kommersant" investigated, the Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD) became the buyer of Roman Abramovich and Partners’ Czech Vitkovice Steel Evraz for $ 287 million. In 2010, a controlling stake in ISD with the financial support of VEB moved to Russian investors led by former co-owner of Evraz Alexander Katunin, the rest – to Oleg Mkrtchyan and Sergei Taruta, the Donetsk region governor. But the experts considered buying Vitkovice ISD "a long and risky investment".
