Uzbekistan suspends gas supply to south of Kyrgyzstan because of sale of Kyrgyzgas to Gazprom

Uzbekistan has stopped supplying natural gas to south of Kyrgyzstan.

The reason of the gas supply suspension became sale of Kyrgyzgas to the Russian company Gazprom. The contract with the Uzbek party UzTransGas provides for termination of the gas supplies to Kyrgyzstan in case of change of Kyrgyzstan’s owner.
