Gas production in Azerbaijan: BP increases volumes

On May 13th, BP, the operator of the Azerbaijani gas field of Shah Deniz, announced that in the first quarter of 2015 the volume of gas production at the field amounted to 2.6 billion cubic meters. In the first quarter of 2014, it was 2.32 billion cubic meters.
On the other hand, according to SOCAR, the gas production of the company reached 1.67 billion cubic meters in the first quarter of 2015, while the total volume of the gas production in the country is 7.415 billion cubic meters. Statistics show that the volume of the gas production by SOCAR decreased, while the production from the Shah Deniz-1 field increased.
