Bashneft invests about 3 bln roubles into the construction of an oil sludge processing unit

​Bashneft has signed a contract with KMT International for the projection and supply of equipment of an oil sludge processing unit. The unit is planned to be put into operation in 2017 at the production site of “Bashneft-Ufaneftechem” branch.

The total value of the project is about 3 bln roubles. “Modernizing the oil refinery unit we pay particular attention to the reduction of negative impact on the environment using modern and safe technologies, the first Vice-President for processing and commerce of Bashneft, D. Stankevich, said. – The construction of the oil sludge processing unit is an important ecological project which will allow to liquidate sludge storage pits in the northern industrial area of Ufa where oil containing waste has been accumulated for decades“.
