Construction of Power of Siberia is gaining momentum

Work at the small cargo berths in Lensk don’t stop round the clock. Along the river, one after another, barges with sections of the future gas pipeline Power of Siberia arrive. On land they are met by tractors. No hassles. All actions are carried out as in well-rehearsed performance. Floating cranes transferred a 9-ton section on land like a feather. Here it is checked for defects. If all the parameters are normal, the pipe is immediately loaded onto the rubberized lodgements of a tractor and sent to the construction site.

A couple of hundred kilometers from Lensk, right in the middle of the taiga, builders construct roads and bridges with an accelerated pace. After all, the machines must somehow arrive to the site, where the pipeline is constructed and move at the Chayandinskoye field, where gas for Power of Siberia will be produced. Construction materials are taken right here, in pits. Places for the future development are looked for in the middle of the forest.
