Bashneft to put into operation 40 new extraction wells at the Sorovsky deposit in Khanty Mansi Autonomous Area

At the Sorovsky deposit in the Nefteyugansk district in 2015 Bashneft plans to put into operation 40 new extraction wells. The press service of Bashneft said that such a decision was made due to a high confirmation of reserves and extraction potential of this site.

There are 13 horizontal wells among the planned wells. Until now 5 wells have been put into operation at the deposit with the length of the horizontal bore of 500-800 m, the initial output on average reach 400 tons a day.

Due to the high results of these wells, in Q2 2015 Burneftegas (Bashneft’s affiliate), that develops the Sorovsky deposit, increased the production by 2.4 times against Q2 2014 having extracted 397 thousand tons of oil. In H1 2015, 686 thousand tons of oil were extracted at the Sorovsky deposit. The daily average extraction of Burneftegas in H1 2015 made up 3.8 thousand tons, in June the daily average extraction reached 5.1 thousand tons.
