In H1, Amurmetal decreased steel smelting by 30%

In the first six months of 2013, Amurmetal, the only ferrous metallurgical enterprise in the Far East, decreased the steel smelting by 30% as compared with the same period of the last year to 234 thousand tons because of the fall of demand and consumption of its products, the company reports.

In the first six months, the production of steel billets decreased by 29% to 231.3 thousand tons, and bar sections by 27% to 87.9 thousand tons; the enterprise didn’t produce flat products in this period.
