Slovakia has started reduction in Russian gas transit since September 12

The operator of the Slovakian gas transporting system Eustream has started the reduction of gas transit via the Velke – Kapusany compressor station since September 12th. Until that date, the daily gas transit via the station was 60 million cubic m a day, on September 12th the daily gas transit was 58.2 million cubic m. On August 15, the daily gas transit was 71.5 million cubic m, and on September 15th it’s only 49.6 million cubic m.

The Ukraine began reverse gas supplies from Slovakia on September 2nd. On April 28th, Ukrtransgaz and Eustream closed the memorandum on mutual understanding in the provision of reverse gas supplies to the Ukraine, the so-called ‘minor reverse’ via the Voyany – Uzhgorod’ gas pipeline. Its capacity is 27 million cubic m a day or 10 billion cubic m a year maximum. The Ukraine reserved these capacities until the end of 2019. Since September, the supplies will be executed on a regular basis on the definite technical conditions, and since March 2015, they will be performed on uninterrupted basis.
