Kazakhstan intends to increase oil extraction up to 92 mln tons in 2020
By the forecast of the Ministry of Energy, in 2016 the volume of oil extraction will make up 77 mln tons with further rise to 92 mln tons in 2020, the Vice-Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan, M. Kusainov, said.
In 2016 the volume of oil extraction will make up 77 mln tons with further rise to 92 mln tons in 2020, this is by 3.8 mln tons and 12 mln tons lower than was previously forecast, Kusainov said.
The project of the 3-year budget bases on the approved by the Cabinet of Ministers forecast of the country’s socio-economic development for 2016-2020.
We expect the industrial volume in 2016 to stay at the level of 2015 with further growth from 1.7% in 2017 to 3.8% in 2020, he said.
