Sinopec may take part in project of Amur gas chemical complex

China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group), one of the largest petrochemical corporations in the world, which will enter into equity of Sibur, considers the possibility of participation in the construction of the Amur gas chemical complex, chairman of the Sibur’s Board of Directors and shareholder of Sibur Leonid Michelson reported.

It was noted earlier that Sinopec was also interested in participating in the project of Zapsibneftekhim.

"Of course, (Sinopec) is interested. First of all, they consider and want to participate in the Amur gas chemical complex. They also consider the participation, Sibur has already decided to build ZapSib-2 and they also consider their participation in this project. But they are most interested, of course, in an easterly direction, "- said Leonid Michelson.
