The court to examine claims of minority shareholders of TNK-BP, requiring an offer from Rosneft

The Arbitration Court of Moscow has set a date (October 25th) for a substantive hearing of the claims of the two minority shareholders of OJSC “TNK-BP Holding” (at present – OJSC “RN Holding”). They ask the court to oblige Rosneft to make a public acquisition offer for their securities, a reporter of the Russian agency of legal information says from the court room. The claims have been filed by the minority shareholders, S.Davydov and V.Tsobenko.

During the preliminary court hearing on Monday, a spokesman for Rosneft made an application on the referral of case to the Arbitration court of the Tyumen region. He said that the case is to be considered at its location (RN-Holding). The applicants were against satisfaction of petition as they had complaints against Rosneft, not RN-Holding. The court left the suits opened. They will be considered during the main session.
