Sanctions are not obstacle for Gazprom

The sanctions of the United States and the EU won’t have a significant impact on the financial position of the Gazprom group, the company reports. But it is looking for an alternative to Western loans, agreeing with Chinese ICBS on issue of bonds in yuan, the RBC daily writes.

Analysis of the sanctions

Gazprom continues to evaluate the impact of the US and EU sanctions, imposed on September 12th, but now the group doesn’t believe that "they will have a significant impact on the financial position or the results of its operations," the Gazprom’s report under IAS for the first six months of 2014, which was published on Tuesday, says.
