"Transneft" wants to get control of the state stake in the port of Novorossiysk.

Nikolay Tokarev, the President of "Transneft", asked Vladimir Putin to give control of the state stake in the port of Novorossiysk, and the control of the NCSP with it.

On September 24 Tokarev sent a letter to the RF President Vladimir Putin, in which he proposed to give a 20% state-owned stake in Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (NMTP) into the management of "Transneft", two people familiar with the contents of the letter told "Vedomosti", and a federal official confirmed. According to one of them, the President instructed the RF Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to consider the proposal of Tokarev. Yesterday the documents from the RF Ministry of Transport were received by the RF Ministry of Economic Development, a source close to the agency stated (the RF Ministry of Economic Development representative declined to comment, a spokesman for the RF Ministry of Transport did not answer the questions of "the Vedomosti"). The representatives of "Transneft" and Ziyavudin Magomedov’s "Summa" group (its joint venture with "Transneft» owns 50.1% stake in NCSP) refused to comment on the letter.
