Oil processing profit might start to fall – HSBC

​For many largest oil companies a high profit in the oil processing segment was one of the few positive moments for the past 2 months. However, soon this profit might fall, HSBC thinks.

For the past year oil prices have sharply fallen worsening the financial results of oil companies, however, the profit from oil processing has risen allowing the oil processing segment to slightly cover the price fall for oil.

However, from mid August the profitability of oil refinery plants has been falling. This fact might weaken one of the key factors supporting the financial results of large oil companies in 2015, HSBC says.
