Receiving of environmental permits to be easier for subsoil users in Kazakhstan

Obtaining of environmental permits by subsoil users will be simplified and reduced in Kazakhstan after the amendments to the legislation on environmental issues, said the Deputy Energy Minister of Kazakhstan Magzum Mirzagaliev.

According to him, the draft law provides for the improvement of the existing environmental legislation in the regulation of measures, aimed at reducing emissions to the environment, reducing the number of documents, issued by public authorities and terms for public service delivery. It also provides for control of several issues of border crossing in the implementation of subsoil use rights on the continental shelf and the regulation of questions of optimization of the state bodies’ functions in the field of technologically inevitable gas flaring
