The retreat from drilling. Why did "Chernomorneftegaz" need a military escort?

According to "Kommersant", the emergency evacuation of the drilling rigs of "Chornomornaftohaz" in Russian territorial waters under a military escort may be associated with the risk of their arrest on the suit being prepared against "Naftogaz Ukraine". The Crimean authorities have explained the situation first,it was "a difficult international situation", then a "terrorist threat", but in the end - "technical necessity." Meanwhile, the result was a stopping of drilling in the promising fields of the region.

"Chernomorneftegaz" said on Monday, that two new jack-up rigs (B-312 and B-319 value of 25 billion rubles.),have been moved from the Odessa offshore field in territorial waters of the Russian Federation. The operation "carried out in the shortest possible time period on the orders of the head of the republic Sergey Aksenov" and is called by "a difficult international situation and the risk of loss of vital assets." The drilling rigs went under the escort of boats of the FBI and the Black Sea Fleet missile boat. And this was for good reason: according to the "Chornomornaftohaz" convoy nearly faced a Turkish merchant vessel, creates "obviously an emergency situation. However, the FBI denied this, saying that the Turkish ship changed a course in time.
