Settlement of treasury stock of Bashneft to allow Bashkiria to receive 25% in company’s capital

The Government of Bashkiria might hope to receive 25% of shares in the registered capital of Bashneft, company’s head, A. Korsik, said.
“About 1.5% of Bashneft’s shares are on the company’s balance today. If the meeting of shareholders on March 18th decides to settle this treasury stock, the stake of each shareholder in the company’s registered capital will rise. In particular, the package of Rosimuschestvo will rise from the current 73.9% to over 75%. Bashkiria, if the Government of Russia approves, might receive 25% in Bashneft’s capital”, he said.
Rosimuschestvo stands for Russia’s keeping 50% plus 1 share in Bashneft and transferring of the rest part of the package to Bashkiria, the head of Rosimuschestvo, O. Dergunova, said.
