Over the year, MMK reduced costs for energy sources by 1 billion rubles

In 2015, Magnitogorsk metallurgical plant reduced energy costs by more than one billion rubles, the MMK’s department of information and public relations reports.

Within the framework of the program to reduce the cost of production and sales, approved by the company’s general director Pavel Shilyaev, the work to decrease the cost of energy sources is carried out in several ways. One of them is a large-scale involvement of staff in the rationalization work. On the whole, in 2015, the center of energy-saving technologies of MMK received more than 700 energy-efficient ideas, 189 projects (including cost-free) with the planned annual economic benefit of more than 300 million rubles were implemented during the year.
