Experts: Oil extraction in Khanty Mansi Autonomous Area is falling despite of investment growth

​The negative dynamics of oil extraction in Yugra stayed in March 2015. The fall was noticed at the deposits of Rosneft, Lukoil and Russneft.

The direct investment into the oil deposits in the Khanty Mansi Autonomous Area in Q1 2015 rose by 16% against Q1 2014. The volume of the extracted in the region oil keeps falling. According to the scientific- analytics center of rational subsoil use n.a. Shpilman, in March 2015 oil extraction in the region made up 20.8 mln tons, by 452 thousand tons less than in March 2014.

The experts explain such a dynamics by the worsening of the structure of reserves and fall of initial and current output of the existing wells.

The oil extraction fall was noticed at the deposits of the following companies: Rosneft (-221.17 thousand tons), Lukoil (-145.8 thousand tons), Russneft (-54.9 thousand tons).
