Lukoil and WWF have signed a cooperation agreement

​Lukoil OJSC and a non-commercial organization World Wildlife Fund (WWF) have signed a cooperation agreement. The document was signed by the head of PR department of Lukoil, G. Ovsyannikov, and director for nature preserving policy of WWF, E. Schwartz.

The agreement presupposes 2-party consultations, working meetings, information exchange upon the realization of nature preserving projects.

By the initiative of WWF in 2014 a pilot project of making the ecological rating of oil and gas companies of Russia was realized containing the information about the level of ecological responsibility of the oil and gas companies and scale of their influence on the environment. On the results of the rating Lukoil OJSC was in the top-10.

WWF is one of the largest independent international nature preserving organizations uniting about 5 mln international constant supporters and working in more than 100 countries. The informational and analytical materials of WWF are used by many European financial organizations, including the European Reconstruction and Development Bank.
