Rosstat: oil extraction rises, gas extraction falls in Russia

​The oil extraction in Russia, including gas condensate rose by 1.2% in Q1 in annual terms to 132 mln tons, Rosstat reports. The extraction of gas fell by 8.2% to 150 bln cubic m. Coal extraction rose by 6.8% to 91.1 mln tons.

Gasoline output rose in Q1 by 3.2% to 10.1 mln tons, diesel fuel – by 1.8% to 19.8 mln tons. 19.9 mln tons of residual oil were produced (97.7% of the result of 2014). Russia’s revenue from oil and gas export in Jan-February fell. In Jan-February the average price of the Russian gas fell by 19.5% in annual terms to $269/thousand cubic m against $334 in Q1 2014. Gazprom’s revenue from gas export in Jan-February fell by 1.7 times to $7.4 bln, gas export fell to 27.5 bln cubic m against 37.4 bln cubic m in Jan-February 2014. The export to the far abroad countries made up 18.7 bln cubic m, to near abroad countries – 8.8 bln cubic m. In Jan-February Russia’s revenue from oil export fell by 39.61% in annual terms to $15 bln.
