Serov metallurgical plant gets international certificate on shipbuilding steel

The metallurgical plant named after A.K.Serov (UGMK-Steel) has received a certificate of approval at the international “Det Norske Veritas”(Norway) in the field of marine craft and building classification. The plant can produce metal-roll of A-grade and A32 and E36 steel grades. These steel grades are used for the manufacture of bulb plates and bands for vessel hull and sea-based platforms (can reach 10-30% of the weight of the marine hull).

It was stated earlier that the metallurgical plant has received a certificate of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping and started deliveries of roll stock from shipbuilding steel grades to the Russian market.
