Steel production in the Russian Federation is down by 4.1% in H1, 2013

Steel production in Russia went down by 4% to 34.7 million tons in the first half of 2013 against the same period in 2012, while coal production increased by 0.7% to 171 million tons. Rosstat states about it.

Steel production decline has been kept going since early 2013 and it is due to the worsening of the economic situation, experts say.
