Government of Russia to discuss licenses for subsoil use

​The Cabinet of Ministers of Russia on Thursday will discuss the works on the one-time actualization of licenses for subsoil use.

The one-time actualization of licenses is meant for the elimination of the detailed specification of conditions of subsoil use, making them meet the modern normative-legal basis and real situation in the sphere of subsoil use as well as exclusion of non-correctable violations of license conditions that lead to a formal necessity of preliminary termination of the right for subsoil use.

Until June 30th the Ministry of Natural Resources was supposed to complete the actualization of licenses on the projects with high financial risks. The actualization of other licenses is to be over at the end of 2016. In late June the Minister of Natural Resources, S. Donskoi, said that 190 licenses had been actualized.
