Lukoil extracts 20 billion cubic metres of gas in Uzbekistan

Lukoil Uzbekistan Operating Company has extracted 20 billion cubic metres of natural gas for the whole period of its operations in the country. Lukoil takes part in several exploration and extraction gas projects as well as the projects aimed at the development of already discovered deposits.

The gas deposit Khauzak-Shady (the Bukhara Region) became well-known in 1960-s. However, its development started only when Lukoil came to Uzbekistan. In June 2004, Lukoil and Uzbekneftegaz signed a PSA for 35 years.
