For the first nine months the steel production in the Ukraine fell by 13 percent.

In January - September 2014 according to the trade association of "Metallurgprom" companies the Ukrainian metallurgical plants smelted 21.495 million tons of steel, which is 13 percent less than in the same period last year (APPG). Pig iron production in the reporting period decreased by 10 percent - up to 19.736 million tons, production of finished rolled metal products fell by 14 percent and amounted to 21.890 million tons.
