Gazprom and Rosneft obtain the subsoil sectors in East-Siberian in Chukchee Seas

Gazprom and Rosneft obtained the right for the continental shelf sectors in East-Siberian and Chukchee Seas. The corresponding regulation of the RF government of December 13, 2013 is published at the site of the Cabinet Council. Gazprom obtained North-Vrangel sector, Rosneft – East Siberian-1.

As it was reported in the note to the document, Gazprom Plc. obtained North-Vrangel subsoil sector (117,620 sq. km) within the continental shelf of East Siberian and Chukchee Seas. As of January 1, 2009 the inferred resources of oil, gas and condensate within the subsoil sector made up as follows: oil – 1.808 billion tons (geological) and 632.8 million tons (extractable), gas – 994.4 billion cubic metres, condensate – 210.9 million tons (geological) and 137.1 million tons (extractable). The one-time payment for the sector makes up 1.16 billion RUR.
