The world record has been set at Gazprom Neft’s deposits in Eastern Siberia

Gazprom Neft has completed the electric exploration works at the volume of over 3 thousand linear km at the site of about 600 sq km at the Tympuchikan and Vakunai blocks (Chona project) in the Eastern Siberia.

The executed project has become the largest research with the application of electric exploration by the method of near-field transient electromagnetic sounding not only in the Eastern Siberia but in the world. The record was set by the number of sources of electromagnetic field, points of signal reception (about 1.2 thousand and 7.6 thousand respectively) and continuation of works which have been held since December 2013 without any stops. The carried out observations allowed to collect a significant volume of new geological information about the Tympuchikan and Vakunai sites. In 2014 the electric exploration at the volume of about 1.5 thousand linear km was carried out at the third block of the Chona project – Ignyalinsky site.
