Gazpromneft-Noyabrskneftegaz sets a record of drilling at Vyngapurskoye field

Well № 2842 in the Jurassic sediments, drilled at the Vyngapurovskoye field by Gazpromneft-Noyabrskneftegaz, has become a record for Gazpromneft. Its length with a pilot hole made up 7400 meters.

The depth of the borehole core - 4811 meters - was a record for Gazpromneft-Noyabrskneftegaz. The well was built 7 days ahead of schedule, which reflects a general trend to accelerate the drilling at the enterprise. In the first 11 months of 2015, the drilling of new wells exceeded targets by 25%, while sidetracking at existing wells - 55%. The launch of new wells gave the additional oil production. At the same time, the expenses for the construction of wells decreased by 10%. The reduced cost of oil extraction makes it possible to involve low-profit oil saturated thickness in the development and to improve the system of field development.
