Gazprom to let its competitors have Russian market

By 2020, Gazprom’s share on the Russian market will decrease to 53% or by 20 percentage points as compared with 2012. On the average, every year the company will lose 3% on the domestic market, analysts of Sberbank CIB think.

Analysts predict an increase of the Russian gas market only by 2% by 2020. Without the supplies of associated petroleum gas, the market volume will make up 364 billion cubic meters. Uralsib Capital’s analyst, Alexei Kokin agreed with calculation of his colleagues of Sberbank CIB and stated that the Gazprom’s share will be reduced to 57% by 2018.
