The British Petrofac analyzes possible enlargement in oil production in Uzbekistan

The British Petrofac analyzes possible enlargement in oil production at the long-term developed deposits in Uzbekistan. In March, the company’s delegation is going to visit the state and to discuss the prospects of the joint projects with the Uzbek side. In particular, Petrofac is going to appraise the deposits and to prepare their offer on long-term improvement of the development and production within the possible contract for the enlargement in oil productivity of the layers.

Earlier, Uzbekneftegaz reported about the plans to allocate in 2012-2020 $235 million to oil production at long-term developed deposits in Uzbekistan. The holding realizes the program for deep drilling of 100 objects with participation of the foreign companies providing their experience in high-tech use. The program enables to additionally extract up to 300,000 tons of oil by using geological and technical enterprises aimed at the compensation of the losses in oil production.
