Gazprom neftekhim Salavat continues oil refinery upgrades.

The company began construction of a pentane-hexane fraction isomerization unit with the raw material capacity of 434 tons per year.

The isomerization process will allow the company to provide isomerisate production – the high-octane blending component with a high vapour pressure for commercial gasoline that meets the requirements of technical regulations. The high-octane component of its own production would increase the production of high environmental class gasoline - Euro-4 and Euro-5 (today the company gets high-octane, low sulfur component isopentane from Sterlitamak petrochemical plant, providing it with raw materials).
