NLMK is suspected in dumping: European metallurgists ask to introduce new duties

The European Commission may initiate an investigation of dumping by Russian exporters of electrical steel. The European steel association Eurofer made this initiative. This may become another round of customs proceedings between Russia and Europe and deprive the market of the main exporter of this steel in Europe - Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) of Vladimir Lisin.

European steel producers association Eurofer plans to present a declaration of dumping and subsidizing of the exports of electrical steel from Russia to the EC, Reuters reported on Friday, referred to the association’s head Gordon Moffat. According to him, the case is "at an advanced stage" and the application will be submitted within a year. Eurofer and the EC didn’t answer  Komemrsant’s inquiry about details of the claims.
