Uzbekistan has started production operations at the new gold deposit of Bessopantau

The Uzbek Navoiyi mining and metallurgical combine has started production operations at the new gold deposit Bessopantau. They are going to achieve the projected capacity in 2015. Total yield at the deposit is awaited at a level of up to 15 million cubic m of ore with a high gold content annually. The combine will considerably enlarge its main gold ore base because of the enlargement in open-cast mining at Muruntau.
