Rosneft has started helium survey at the shelf of Okhotsk Sea

Rosneft OJSC has started the works on the discovery of the areas of active oil and gas presence and perspective objects by the method of a helium survey at the East-Pribrezhny license site in the water area of the Sea of Okhotsk.

The basis of the method is the measuring of helium concentration in the natural water layer from the holes drilled in the ice with the depth of 80 cm. In total the measures will be made at 1,400 places at the license site. Rosneft will hold the helium survey from ice at the shelf of Sakhalin for the first time.
