Ukrainians are to increase gas tariffs by 264%.

Amendments to the State Budget of the Ukraine for 2015 provide for a substantial increase in utility tariffs for gas and heating, according to the Ukrainian newspaper "Vesti", citing a source.
"The package of documents includes not only an amendment to the state budget for 2015, but also a change in the tax laws. This will also include the increase in gas tariffs overall by 264% and 64% - in thermal power tariffs for the population. NBU calculated that this further adds to the overall inflation rate of 9%", - one of the participants in the meeting with the head of the NBU bankers told the publication.
It is reported that changes in the budget may be adopted at an extraordinary session of the Verkhovna Rada on February 25th.
