DMK has started blowing-in a blast furnace #12

The Dneprovsky metallurgical plant (DMK, the Ukraine, Dnepropetrovsk region) in early February started the blowing-in the blast furnace #12, operating 3 blast furnaces.

Currently the blast furnace #12 gradually reaches the necessary parameters after the capital repair held in late 2015. The blast furnace was shut down for repair in November 2015, according to the schedule. It was planned to put it into operation on Jan 12th, however, due to the lack of financing and a complicated economic situation in the markets, the blowing-in of the unit was postponed.

According to DMK, it doesn’t execute the production plans due to the significant price fall for metal products in the world markets and problems with financing of the current activity.

DMK is the only in the country producer of rolled stock for railroad transport, sheet piling of Larsen type, steel grinding balls and pipe stock.
