Udokan deposit development costs are assessed at $5.6 bln

The capital expenses for the development of the Udokan copper deposit in the Zabaikalye territory are assessed at $5.6 billion as of 2013. The deputy chief executive of “Baikal mining company” LLC (BMC, part of Metaloinvest of A.Usmanov) O.Nasritdinkhodzhaev said.

A spokesman for BMC said that the capital expenses have been calculated within the accuracy of 15%. He said  after the meeting, dedicated to the realization of Udokan project.

The participants of the meeting noted that the launch of the deposit would provide 15-20 thousand workplaces, while tax incomes into the budget would make up $460 million a year.
