Government Committee for Arctic is headed by Rogozin, his deputies are Novak, Donskoi, Ulyukaev and Sokolov

​D. Rogozin has been appointed the chairman of the Government Committee for the issues of the Arctic development, he has 5 deputies: the Minister of Energy A. Novak, Minister of Natural resources and ecology S. Donskoi, Minister of Economic development A. Ulyukaev, Minister of Transport M. Sokolov and a deputy secretary of Safety Council of Russia V. Nazarov, Kommersant reports referring to its sources.

According to Kommersant, in total the Committee comprises 60 people, including the representatives of the largest state companies (Gazprom, Rosneft, Transneft), security agencies (from the Ministry of defense – deputy Minister D. Bulgakov, from the Federal Security Service – head of the economic safety service Y. Yakovlev), administration of the President, Governor department and other branches of the Government.

The first meeting of the Government Committee has already been held at which it was decided to hold the audit of Russia’s reserves in the Arctic.
