Head of ExxonMobil to meet with I. Sechin and Government members

The head of ExxonMobil, R. Tillerson, plans to visit Moscow to discuss the details of the strategic partnership with the Government members and Rosneft.

The first of the planned meetings will be held on Wednesday, March 18th.

Meanwhile neither Rosneft, nor ExxonMobil have confirmed this information.

I. Sechin and R. Tillerson met on Jan 23rd 20141 to discuss the issues of construction of an LNG plant in Sakhalin, project decisions of development of the North Chaivo deposit, providing the works on the development of the Arctic shelf, cooperation in the development of scavenger oil deposits and Rosneft’s participation in joint foreign projects in the sphere of exploration and extraction.

In June 2014 R. Tillerson gave a speech at the World Oil Congress in Moscow where called to discuss the failures of the Government in the Fuel and Energy sector but having not mentioned the sanctions on Russia’s oil and gas sector.
