Oil processing fell by 3.5% in Russia from the beginning of 2016

​In January-February 2016 the volume of oil processing in Russia fell by 3.5% against January-February 2015, the deputy Minister of Energy, K. Molodtsov, said.

Such a fall can’t significantly influence on the current situation as the parameters of the tax maneuver go on working.

The Russian oil refineries keep meeting the domestic and export demand.

Low processing depth keeps being inefficient, consequently, the main flows go for export and we satisfy the needs of all, K. Molodtsov said.

In late December 2015 the Minister of Energy, A. Novak, said that primary oil processing in Russia in 2015 fell by 2.4% having made up 282 mln tons, its depth grew from 72.4% to 73.5%.

Novak said that the reduction of volumes with the rise of processing depth is the main goal set by the Government introducing the tax maneuver in 2015.
