Despite sanctions and problems with funding "Gazprom", took the investment decision on the construction of an LNG plant on the Baltic Sea. According to "the Kommersant", the monopoly is ready to use European liquefaction technology and a plant with the capacity of 10 million tons will be laumched at the end of 2020. The analysts expect difficulties with the financing of the project as well as the sale of LNG in the highly competitive European market. But the presence of the flexible volume of gas will increase the chances of "Gazprom" under its new European strategy.
