Rosneft is interested in hydrocarbons terminal construction in Egypt

​Rosneft is interested in the construction of a hydrocarbons terminal in the Suez Canal. Currently via the trade representation the company is organizing the negotiations with the administration of the Suez economic zone, the trade representative of Russia in Egypt, F. Lukashin, said.

According to him, in 2015 the trade representation of Russia in Egypt received 11 offers on hydrocarbons development from Egypt and transferred them to the Russian core agencies.

Currently the most worked out offer is the one on the construction of  hydrocarbons terminal in the Suez Canal. From the part of Russia Rosneft’s participation is planned in this project, Lukashin said adding that Rosneft shows its interest in the construction of the terminal in Egypt.

Egypt is said to be interested in the supply of the Russian LNG both by Rosneft (which in May held the first shipment) and by Gazpom.
