Zaporozhstal significantly decreases consumption of natural gas

In January - June 2014, the metallurgical plant Zaporozhstal of Rinat Akhmetov’s Metinvest decreased its natural gas consumption by 17.5% as compared with the same period of the previous year. The saving of fuel in the volume of 22.4 million cubic meters was achieved against the background of the growth in the production of steel by 4% and iron by about 5%,Zaporozhstal’s press centre reports.
"In 2014, has Zaporizhstal demonstrated stable dynamics in the reduction of the consumption of natural gas and energy sources purchased every month, following the technological strategy of the Metinvest Group, which provides for the modernization of the enterprise and the implementation of energy saving measures," the company reports.
