Court of Appeal supported Rosneft in the dispute with Ministry of Energy upon preferences

​The 9th Arbitration Court of Appeal has proved illegal the actions of the Ministry of Energy and Rosnedra which didn’t issue the approval necessary for the application of preferential customs duties to the extracted in 2012-2013 oil to Verkhnechonskneftegas PJSC, affiliate of Rosneft.

The Court satisfied the claims of Rosneft, RN-Holding and Verkhnechonskneftegas having cancelled the decision of the Arbitration Court of Moscow which previously rejected the claims of Verkhnechonskneftegas. The decision of the Court of Appeal has come into force.

The Ministry of Energy plans to appeal this decision, a representative of the Ministry A. Semeikin said.
