Rosneft has registered for participation in the 13th license round in Brazil

​Rosneft Brasil, an affiliate of Rosneft OJSC, has registered as a participant of the 13th license round organized by ANP (Agencia Nacional do Petroleo, Gas Natural e Biocombustiveis – National Agency for Oil, Natural Gas and biofuel of Brazil). The application that should be approved by ANP gives the company the right to participate in the license round and will allow it to receive geological data on the sites.

In the framework of the 13th license round ANP will put up for trades 10 basins and blocks located on the surface and at the shelf of the country.

The potential participation in the license trades in Brazil is an element of realization of a new direction of Rosneft’s international strategy: the company strengthens its presence in the areas of perspective location of hydrocarbons the extraction at which is possible in the mid and long-term perspective. Such projects of Rosneft allow to have a potential access to high-quality assets sticking to the effective investment policy. The final decision upon the participation in the 13th license round will be made on the results of the analysis of data submitted to ANP.
