The company buys the assets of the Canadian Trican Well Service.
"Rosneft" is planning to buy out Russian assets of Canadian oil services company Trican Well Service specializing in hydraulic fracturing for $ 140 million by the end of the week. The deal fits into the logic of both companies: the Canadians gradually reduce their presence abroad and "Rosneft" gradually increases the share of its own drilling, refusing to outside contractors. According to lawyers, the transaction can be carried out even in the face of Western sanctions: the structures of Trican Well Service do not work offshore and with shale hydrocarbons.
